Lauren Figley
Designer

As a native of Defiance, Ohio, Lauren received her bachelor's of science in architecture from the University of Cincinnati. Prior to joining Wang Architects, she worked in firms in Baltimore and on Cape Cod, MA. She also gained construction experience pouring concrete, roofing, and siding houses with a contractor. At Wang Architects, Lauren is responsible for Art From the Streets - a program for homeless artists in Austin, and various residential projects.

During her time at the University of Cincinnati, Lauren and her teammates submitted to the International American Institute of Architects x China Building Center Competition.  Her team's structure was one out of 15 internationally selected teams that traveled to Aiyuan Town, China to construct their designs.

On the weekends, Lauren might be found perusing Texas art galleries or venturing to various local farmers markets.  Armed with her KitchenAid mixer and a plethora of cookbooks, she also enjoys baking new recipes prepared specifically for an office taste test.  Other times, Lauren can be found shopping around the many Austin thrift stores or reading through her stack of unread books at her apartment pool, while basking in the hot Texas sun.
